Sax Stephano is primarily recognized for his series of street recitals, touring various locations across Britain.
His performances feature a mix of 20th-century classics and contemporary arrangements.
Sax Stephano aims to showcase the full spectrum of a rich and varied musical pallet; honed through decades of practice.
By performing primarily acoustically, he allows every natural resonance of the instrument to flood out, creating an immersive auditory experience.
This approach not only highlights the intricate nuances of his playing but also invites listeners to appreciate the depth of the music in its purest form.
* Sax Stephano has taken care to memorise every single one of tunes and arrangements he plays. - There is no sign of any ipads or music stands!
​In musical style, Sax Stephano offers jazz standards,
jazz ballads, 20th Century pop, traditional jazz, early rhythm & blues, salsa, bossa, latin, reggae, songs from the movies, songs from the great American song book, classic swing and gospel spirituals
Predominantly a tenor saxophonist, Sax Stephano also plays soprano, baritone and bass saxophones.
Sax Stephano uses high quality backing tracks played through a home made retro vintage looking PA.
